Solar Tiles – Horizon Verres Project

3IT.Energies evaluates the performance of Megasol Energie photovoltaic tiles (MATCH SLATE, NICER, and LEVEL series) on its test bench, comparing them to conventional PV panels.

In collaboration with Codevtel Inc., the project assesses energy efficiency, durability, and environmental impact, while supporting certification efforts for deployment in Québec.

The solutions explored pave the way for new building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) applications:

  • Replacing asphalt shingles or metal roofing with MATCH SLATE solar tiles,
  • Integrating LEVEL façade panels into building envelopes to supply ventilation and heating systems year-round.

Through this research–industry partnership, Codevtel Inc. is preparing to commercialize Megasol Energie’s glass-based PV/BIPV tiles in Canada—advancing the province’s energy transition through more sustainable and autonomous buildings.
