Optimization of Photovoltaic Installations in Nordic Climates
The 3IT.Energies team conducted an in-depth study of PV system performance under Québec’s winter conditions, analyzing four distinct configurations within the Université de Sherbrooke’s solar park.
The research combines precise field measurements with advanced simulations to evaluate optimization strategies, focusing on the effects of panel tilt angle, orientation, and technology type on winter energy yield.

This project, conducted in collaboration with Eolectric, is part of our mission to develop sustainable, climate-adapted energy solutions, directly contributing to Québec’s solar sector growth and aligning with Hydro-Québec’s 300 MW solar call for proposals announced in spring 2025.
